Community Overview
What’s the attraction? Pinecrest has a unique appeal and is Miami’s best example of high living in suburbia on predominately acre and half-acre zoned homesites. Those who enjoy living in the Village are mostly families with school-aged children and who are attracted by the many conveniences of everyday living with plenty to satisfy every member of the family. While Pinecrest is home to some of Miami’s best public & nearby private schools, it caters to buyers and sellers of high-end luxury real estate, often dubbed “McMansions” consisting of sprawling estate homes built behind elaborate gates with everything from bricked motor courts to custom designed pools, manicured lawns with mature, lush plantings and private tennis courts. For the tennis buff without a court of their own, have no fear–it’s minutes away to one of the finest private tennis clubs or in all of south Florida. Workout facilities, including Pilates & yoga studios, are abundant as well as soccer fields, a community center & public library, diverse places of worship, state of the art public parks, jogging, bike and walking paths, a curbside florist, fresh fruit & vegetable stand and a weekly farmer’s market at Pinecrest Gardens, a local community attraction, all cater to the wonderful lifestyle of Pinecrest residents. Some of the area’s finest shopping selections can be found at two popular high-volume malls, the Dadeland Mall–home to Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s in north Pinecrest and The Falls Shopping Center, a delightful open-air shopping mall with waterfalls, and is home to Bloomingdale’s and located at the southern boundary. A wonderful array of eateries, restaurants, coffee shops, delis, Whole Foods, Publix, Trader Joe’s, The Fresh Market and many specialty shops and trendy stores dot the outer boundaries of the Village for miles along US-1 making everyday living so convenient, interesting and fun!
The Village of Pinecrest shares boundaries with South Miami, Coral Gables and Palmetto Bay.
